Nintendo released a new patch update for the Nintendo Switch 2 (Version 22.0.0) that includes an optional setting called "Handheld Mode Boost". This will make Switch 1 games think that they are in TV mode even when in portable handheld mode, allowing games to run at higher resolutions in TV mode to utilize the Switch 2's 1080p screen.
For Spyro fans who have the Spyro Reignited Trilogy for the Nintendo Switch, they have noticed an increase in framerate that makes games run the same framerate as certain console ports.
